PURPOSE: Identify circumstances and conditions applicable to digital camcorder loan.
Digital camcorders are available for check out from the Library circulation desk. To check out a camcorder, you must have a valid NMU ID and be a current graduate or undergraduate student registered for classes. Only current students are eligible to borrow a camcorder.
When you check out the camcorder, you will be asked to read and sign a Camcorder Components Checklist verifying you have received all the components. You will also be asked to read and sign a Camcorder Check Out Agreement verifying that you understand your obligations regarding the use of the camcorder.
While using the camcorder, if you do find a problem with it, notify the Library circulation desk immediately (906 227-2260).
You will return the camcorder to the circulation desk at Olson Library at the end of the loan period. Once returned, Circulation staff will verify that all the parts have been returned. They will also assess the camcorder for any damage. Costs will be assessed for any damages or lost components. If all components are returned and the camcorder is not damaged, circulation staff will check the equipment in and clear the camcorder's memory. None of your files will be viewed. This is for protection of your privacy as well as for the convenience of the next user.
Camcorders may be checked out for 3 days.
Renewals will not be allowed.
Overdue Fines and Billing Information
The borrower will be assessed a $5.00 per day late fee once the camcorder is overdue.
If the camcorder is not returned, replacement costs will be assessed at $215.00 in accordance with the rental agreement.
If camcorder components are not returned, replacement costs will be assessed according to the price listed on the Camcorder Components Checklist.
