Get materials from other Michigan libraries 09-24-2008
MeLCat is a catalog for over 250 participating Michigan libraries. You can request any item found in the catalog (except for journals, journal articles, and other non-circulating materials) to be sent directly to Olson Library. MeLCat is a great way of getting items Olson Library does not own without having to go through Interlibrary Loan (ILL). Usually you will get items faster and the requesting process is easier.


Introducing CrossSearch...to help you conquer your research papers 09-23-2008
CrossSearch provides a new overlay to the library's databases. Now you can search multiples databases at once through one interface! CrossSearch allows searching by subject categories or individual databases of your choosing. You can also still search a database the old way by simply clicking on the database name.

Oxford Reference Online is a comprehensive resource that contains over 120 dictionaries and subject reference books published by Oxford University Press. New resources are added every quarter. A recent addition includes the Visual English Dictionary, which contains over 6,000 illustrations.
