JSTOR

JSTOR is an archive that holds the complete digitized back run of over 1,000 core scholarly journals, starting with the very first issues, some dating as far back as the 1600s!!

JSTOR includes high-resolution, scanned images of journal issues and pages as they were originally designed, printed, and illustrated.

Over 3.5 million articles are available in JSTOR!

JSTOR Main Screen

JSTOR does not include recent issues. Because of JSTOR's archival mission, there is a gap, typically from 1 to 5 years, between the most recently published journal issues and the back issues available. However, you can search for a particular title in the library catalog to see if we have electronic access to a recent issue through some other source.

There are a variety of disciplines included in JSTOR, from the social sciences to humanities to the natural sciences.

Not only can you browse by discipline, but also by individual journal title. Searching across the entire collection, or particular disciplines, is also available.

As a final note, JSTOR is a collection of scholarly journal literature. If you are looking for articles in magazines or "hot topics" discussed in the news, you should search one of the library's general databases.
